Empowered and envisioned to raise generation of leaders whose mandate shall be such that will affect their communities, with a good conscience plus a sense of responsibility, Apostolic Faith Secondary School (AFSS Anthony Lagos) was born at a time the world and in particular the country Nigeria needed an educational institution best fit to carry out this assignment. We have not failed to pursue that vision only, we have been consistent in fulfilling that God-given assignment for over two decades. Hidden in a serene location and secured environment in the vast land within Anthony Village, countless parents from various walks of life and backgrounds, far and near have found a place of haven for the educational pursuits of their children.
Equipped with a rich culture of ensuring academic excellence with a mix of sound moral upbringing, we have continually achieve results by employing a
variety of tested strategies to engage students such as challenging the high flyers to maximize their potentials, encouraging the average performers to shoot for the stars and nurturing the feeble ones to get a leap and rob shoulders with their peers. Here at AFSS, every student is a fighter for inscribed in their mindset is the slogan “failure is not an option”.
Most importantly, the God factor at the centre of all our operations has distinguished us as an institution designed and prepared to change the world through meaningful and wholesome education. Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Prov. 22:6) has been our navigating compass and let the light shine – our mantra. With these entrenched in our mindsets, every child becomes transformed passing through AFSS.
Suffice to say that we are constantly upgrading to meet the demands of times. Constantly adapting tools and resources to prepare our students for the real world. This we ensure by imbibing 21st century teaching and learning skills and deploying relevant technology and resources to foster engaging learning experiences. With a robust extracurricular activities in place to complement academics, our students are fully prepared to conquer the world.
